The panels of floating and partly music-making putti, conceived from below, are captivating in their expressive, graphic, and dynamic execution. It can be assumed that the panels must have been part of a ceiling of a palazzo of large dimensions and corresponding room height. The plasterboards probably adorned the end of the wooden coffered ceiling as the outermost pictorial element of the frieze. The paintings offered here are a rarity on the market.
