Little is known about Andries Daniels. In 1599 he was apprenticed to Pieter Breughel the Elder. J. registered with the Antwerp Guild of St. Luke, in 1602 he became a master and married Jozijnke van der Hoerst, with whom he drew up a will together in 1640. A wreath of bright, white, violet and blue flowers, strawberries and rowan berries (Sorbus aucuparia) frames a medallion with Mary with the Child and John on a gold background. The image type of the Madonna in a wreath of flowers was designed by Jan Brueghel the Elder. Ä.
