Selling at Fine Antiques Prague auctions
You would like to consign your art objects to auction? With pleasure, we offer your objects to our international customers. Consigning your objects is quick and straightforward. 1. SEND US PHOTOS OF YOUR ART OBJECTS
Please just send us photos and a short description via E-mail so our experts can provide a preliminary appraisal. The photographs often help us to decide whether your items are suitable for our art auctions.
2. VALUATION OF YOUR OBJECTS
The valuation by our art experts is non-committal and conducted free of charge. In case you should not have any price proposal of your own, a catalogue price will be recommended and a minimum sale price (reserve price or limit) below which the item may not be sold will be set.
Valuation via photo does not, of course, allow for an exact assessment as defects, restorations or age-related conditions cannot be identified due to the size of the image. If the item is suitable for auction we will provide you with a preliminary recommended price on the basis of this initial valuation. However, if defects of any kind are revealed on delivery, we reserve the right to subsequently adjust the estimated price.
3. CONSIGNMENT OF YOUR ART OBJECTS
The seller’s contract includes a number of important agreements between you and FINE ANTIQUES PRAGUE SRO, such as setting the limit under which your art objects may not be sold as well as the sales commission deducted by FINE ANTIQUES PRAGUE SRO in the event of a sale, insurance costs and your assurance that you are the owner of the item.
4. PRESENTATION AND SALE OF YOUR OBJECTS
All items will be inspected, described and professionally photographed in our auction house in Praha and elaborately presented in our catalogues, showrooms and on our website.
Your items are sold by auction to the highest bidder and they remain in our safekeeping until the full sale price has been paid by the buyer. Generally, you will receive a statement from FINE ANTIQUES PRAGUE SRO approximately six to eight weeks after the auction – although not until the payment from the buyer has been received. The statement shows the price at which the item was sold and the deduction of the sales commission, the ancillary costs agreed upon in the auction contract and the right of resale fee. Payment of the final amount shown on the statement can be made to by bank transfer.
